As featured on Eastern Eye newspaper! My story on mental health awareness

I am so honoured and thankful to the @easterneyenews and especially @asjadnazir for giving me a chance to take the first step of sharing my own story of mental health awareness and what this means to me as well as what inspired me to talk about it today and help others. πŸŒΈπŸ’›   Catch my story in today's eastern eye newspaper! πŸ€—

Dear Mum and Dad

Dear Mum and Dad, I am grateful for all you have done for me .. I am grateful for your love and protection since I came into this world..  I am grateful for your unspoken moments and devotion.. I know I can not ever repay you for all you have done except to make you proud of who I have become.. I know tomorrow is never guaranteed.. I am grateful for every moment I have with you...   Thank you mum and dad.

Expectations

There is a constant battle of expectation.. An expectation to live a life a certian way.. An expectation to fall in love with only a particular person.. An expectation to always do what's right by other people but not what makes you happy.

She said... She said...

She said she will let go of him.. She said she will move on from him She said she will wipe away the tears she cried for him..  She said she will no longer depend on him. She said she is better then she ever knew for herself .. She said I am strong and renewed for myself..

The girl that's learning

To the girl that's trying everyday to be perfect in a world where nothing is.. To the girl who smiles to the world and people around her.. even though she wants to cry but she does not know why.. To the girl who loves and feels too much but does not get the same in return.. I say to this girl.. Life is about learning... learning from mistakes.. don't give up on yourself and your self love. Keep moving and the world will move with you at your own pace.  Don't let any heartbreak or expectation define you. You define yourself only.
